ELF Cream Eyeshadow Swatches

Hey guys!

I purchased these ELF Cream Eyeshadows a few months ago and haven't gotten around to using them yet! I just keep forgetting!

I decided to swatch the ones I kept though, as I gave my mum one already, I am left with 5 of the shades I purchased.

These are swatches of the ones I kept and I am pleased to report that the pigmentation is pretty good across the board!

Will do further reviews one day! :)

China Glaze Electric Beat Swatch & NOTD

 

 Another shade from China Glaze's Electropop collection (yes, I bought the whole collection.... I am giving most of them away though!)

This is a nice periwinkle shade of blue with a bit of a dusty quality to it.

My boyfriend thinks it looks nice when I wore it under OPI's PMW (will post pics at a later date!)

I think its okkkkkaaay. Nothing special and I have given it to my mother. She adores blue nail polishes! They always look great on her too!! :)

Would you wear this shade?

China Glaze Gothic Lolita Swatch

This was suppose to be a nail of the day, but it chipped on me in less than 10 hours.

The color is nice though, but the shimmer was pretty much non existent on the nail! I used 2 coats for opacity.

Have you tried any nail polishes from China Glaze's 2012 Electropop collection?

China Glaze Kinetic Candy Swatch

I used 3 coats of China Glaze Kinetic Candy for complete opacity. This is another colour from China Glaze's Electropop Collection that came out this year (2012).

Would you wear it?

Estée Lauder Deluxe EyeShadow Compact

 Estée Lauder was the first high end brand of eye shadows I tried and it was love at first swatch.

My love for them has continued to this day! Pictured is the Estée Lauder Deluxe EyeShadow Compact that was released in 2010. Yes, I've had this for almost 2 years now! As you can tell it has been used but I own quite a few eyeshadows so I haven't hit pan on any of these.

They are expensive generally, however I got this as part of a set they released and I guess I some how figured it was cheaper. I'm not sure if it really is though.... I'm not a fan of Estée Lauder's lipsticks because I am do sensitive to smells, so lucky my mum liked them! This eyeshadow palette also came with a bunch of other stuff that I didn't need so this is the only makeup item I have left from the set. So... Was it worth it?

I love the shadows but it's really hit and miss on the pigmentation really. Purchasing them individually may be cheaper after all...

Do you buy sets and find you only use one or a few of the items? Is it worth it?

China Glaze Sun-Kissed Swatch

 This is from China Glaze's summer neons collection this year (2012).

I used 3 coats for it to be opaque. It looks duller than it is in the bottle but still a nice highlighter shade!

OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest NOTD, Swatch & Mini Review

This is from OPI's most recent collection, Germany 2012! This was the nail polish I was anticipating the most! It did not disappoint and I am very happy to have it in my nail polish collection!

I used 2 coats to achieve opacity, as shown in the photo above!

Have you tried any of the OPIs from this collection? Which was your fave?

China Glaze Sweet Hook NOTD/Swatch

 

China Glaze Sweet Hook is from the Electropop 2012 collection. I used 3 coats and the formula was a little to thick and strangely thin at the same time. Love the colour though - perfect for Spring 2012! :D

I love this colour, yet I didn't like China Glaze Light As Air. This is more saturated and brighter. Light As Air, from China Glaze's Spring collection in... 2010 I believe, was too washed out for my skin tone, cracked and yellowed! :S

I won't be buying back ups of Sweet Hook but will look forward to wearing it again in the near future.

Is this shade a must have? No, not really - there are many dupes of this shade available in other brands. Sweet Hook looks like a dupe of Essie Nice Is Nice from their French Affair collection last year in 2011.

Will I repurchase? Probably not - their are many other brands with similar shades.

Will I be keeping this nail polish? Yes, I am a sucker for cremes and hoard them like no tomorrow!

OOTD: Casual Jeans & White Tee

OPI German-icure NOTD/Swatch

I used 2 coats for this NOTD/swatch OPI German-icure! This is from their most recent collection - Germany 2012.

I am not sure if I am loving it though, I mean it's pretty but I am a bit disappointed - I wish it was more douchromy!

What do you guys think of this colour? Would you wear it?

I used 3 coats of Essie BST and topped it off with a Color Club glitter.

This mani welcomes Spring 2012 here in Australia... But I'm cold as anything right now!!!!!!

OPI Strawberry Margarita NOTD & Review

Hey guys!

So here's OPI Strawberry Margarita with 2 coats! I also used this on my toes, however it took 3 coats! :S A bit weird, but it really didn't look good with only 2 coats on my toes!

I only have the mini version of OPI Strawberry Margarita do that's what I used. This is a 3.75 mL bottle, and is very cute, however, it would definitely not last as long as the regular 15 mL bottles of OPI!

Wear time was normal with this nail polish and I found the colour quite bright and not office friendly at all! This would be perfect for summer though!

Do you like mini bottles of nail polish?

OPI Outrageous Neons Collection!

Hey guys!

I recently purchased the OPI Outrageous Neons Collection! They only come in this mini sized set though and there are no full sized bottles available.

I am unsure whether or not this is limited edition, but they just came out recently so have no fear of them selling out!

Look forward to some swatches in the future, as the weather warms up a bit here in Australia! :)

4 Date Night Outfits

China Glaze I'm Not Lion With Max Factor & Sally Hansen Combo - Swatch

 

Hey guys!

I have a combination swatch to show you guys! This is 2 coats of Max Factor Ivory, 1 coat of China Glaze Ivory, and 1 coat of Sally Hansen Disco Ball.

The effect if supppper glittery yet somehow understated! This refused to dry on me though so I had to take it off.

What do you guys think of this combo? Hit or miss?

OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? - Swatch, Review & NOTD

 

 

 Hey guys!

So I have been trying to find more work appropriate shades of nail polish for work and OPI's Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? from the Holland 2012 collection seemed to fit the bill!

The formula was a bit tricky and I used 2-3 coats. I tried 3 coats on my left hand and 2 coats on my right! They both look good, however, my right hand nails seemed to be less opaque, but I just look at them too much! Lol!

My mother thinks this is an ugly colour but I think it's pretty perfect for work! It's not loud and it's very discrete!

What do you guys think?

China Glaze I Herd That - Swatch & NOTD

 

China Glaze I Herd That is from their On Safari collection released this year (2012)!

I used 1 coat of China Glaze I Herd for the photo below, over 2 coats of Max Factor's Ivory.

This dried a gritty texture so be sure to smooth it out with a top coat if it bugs you!

I didn't wear this as a full manicure on me yet, but plan to soon.

It doesn't photograph too well here, but there are holographic glitters!!

What do you think of this nail polish? Would you wear it?
