REVIEW: Coastal Scents Camo Quad - Light

So... as soon as I saw AllThatGlitters21 on YouTube do a review on these Coastal Scents concealers, I jumped on their website to check it out. I also wanted the colourful colour-correcter one, but they were OUT OF STOCK... I've looked back so many times but they still haven't seemed to restock! :( Boo!
Anyways... so I got the Camo Quad concealer palette in LIGHT.

As you can see I have used it... :)

PACKAGING

3/5

- Average packaging, seem sturdy enough but not sure...

- I like that the lid is clear - that way I can see inside lol

- I'm not wowed by it, but I think I prefer tube concealers... although they are never as creamy and opaque as these ones are...

PRICE

4/5

- Under US$10.00

- The international shipping charges are a bummer though... I wish they offered free shipping!

- I didn't have any discount codes so I got these full price, but the price isn't that bad now isn't it, so I'm okay with it! Lol. :)

PRODUCT

3/5

- Very opaque and very creamy

- Wears off within a few hours :(

- I'm not sure what to do with the white? Can anyone tell me? I tried it and it looks too white on me... it doesn't really blend into my skin colour!

- Great texture but I wish it had better staying power on me.

Has anyone else tried these yet? How do you like it?

Do you like the colour correcter one Coastal Scents also has? Would you recommend that?

REVIEW: Nude by Nature Natural Mineral Cover Foundations and Mineral Veil

I have purchased Nude by Nature's
- Natural Mineral Cover foundation in Light and Medium Skin tone (15g each)
- Mineral Veil
INGREDIENTS
I purchased the Medium skin tone (pictured above, I did not take photos of the others because the packaging is the same) because I thought it would match me, however, it was waaay too dark. So I gave that away too my mother, who is a few shades darker than me, and purchased the Light skin tone. This shade matches me okay.
PRICE
3/5
AU$39.95 for 15g from selected pharmacies and Priceline
I would say this is a reasonable price - not dirt cheap but not too expensive, however you cannot try these on your face in store so it would be hard to match your skin tone to the foundation, which brings me too...
SHADE MATCH
2/5 for the Mineral Foundation
There are only 3 shades - Light, Medium and Dark Skin Tones
If you are super pale I think it will be hard to find a match because I am Asian and am have olive toned skin and the Light Skin Tone matched me the best, however it still does not give me the 'my-skin-but-better' look because it is not exactly matched.
The lack of shades is a bit disheartening, however if you are lucky you may be one of the 3 shades they offer.
PACKAGING
1/5
One word: messy!
I am not a fan of the packaging because everytime I open AND/OR close it a whole ton of product flies EVERYWHERE!! But I would assume most mineral products have this problem as well though...

PRODUCT
3/5 for the Mineral Foundations
It did not cause me to break out - which is good.
The shade match was kind of off, but it wasn't too bad, and considering there are only 3 shades I guess it is okay. The coverage was okay - if I wanted more coverage I put on more, but it made my face look CAKED UP... and unnatural looking. It looked like I had TOO MUCH MAKE UP ON - not a good look! The foundation wore off within a few hours so I thought I needed to get the Mineral Veil.
I now use this to set my liquid foundation, and that works okay. I do not use the Mineral Foundation brush though, I use a powder brush.
0/5 for the Mineral Veil
Oh how do I regret purchasing this! It made my face have a ghost-ish white cast and made my pore look HUMUNGOUS!!!! It aged me - I looked at least 10 years older! Horrible.
This has also been given away to my mother... she hasn't tried it yet though, because she has so much other stuff to go through! Also given to her from me!. LOL. So, needless to say she receives A LOT of makeup products from me! LOL. I end up with less and less money and she is product rich! She doesn't have sensitive skin, is willing to try ANY brand of makeup (like me!) and never reacts to anything! Lol... and she looks amazing in her makeup. :) My mum is almost 50 years old and my best friend's mother thought she way only 30 - something. All that makeup must be doing something! :)
What are your thoughts on this product? Have you tried it yet? Did you like it?

REVIEW: Nude by Nature Mineral Foundation Brush

This is a relatively new Australian brand.
I purchased this product with my own money and all opinions are based on honesty.
Nude by Nature also have a line of 'Natural Mineral Cover' foundations in 3 shades - light, medium and dark skin tones (15g each) and a Mineral Veil.
These are for sale at AU$39.95 each from selected pharmacies and Priceline.
I will have reviews of them coming up.
This is a review of their mineral foundation brush.
I have had this brush for about a year now.
I purchased this brush before their foundations and mineral veil!

First impressions: Cute!
The bristles are densely packed.

As you can see from the photos, the brush is round and not flat.

PRODUCT

3/5

This is a VERY soft brush for softness I would rate it 5/5,

however, after I washed it a few times the handle FELL OFF...

So the brush was in 2 pieces... I used superglue and glued it back together. The next time I washed it, guess what? It fell off AGAIN. So I superglued it back... and I haven't used it since!

This could just be a defective brush though... I always have the worst of luck!

The size is travel friendly, although it is a bit 'chubby' it is not extremely bulky.

I used this in conjunction with their mineral foundation and found it to be smooth against my skin and it doesn't scratch your face.

PRICE

4/5

I cannot remember the exact price, but it was under AU$20.00.

This is budget friendly and if you lose it when travelling, or if it gets damaged on your trip it is easily replaced with out hurting your wallet too much!

Have you tried any Nude by Nature products yet? Did you like them?

I believe they havean eyeshadow brush out now too... has anyone tried that? Would you recommend it?

It should take 7 - 14 days for it to arrive.

I can't wait! I have not tried any NYX products before so I am really excited!

I will make reviews on them when I receive them.

Have you purchased anything from Cherry Culture before? What was it? Did you like the products? How long did it take to arrive?

REVIEW: Connoisseur Gourment Ice Cream - Caramel Honey Macadmia

Ice cream with honey roasted macadamia nuts (6%) and honey sauce (5%)

PACKAGING
2/5
- I like the roundness of the packaging... but I do not like that it is cardboard! I would prefer a plastic tub so that I would feel it is more secure, however, the cardboard packaging is good because it is recyclable, and is helping out the environment. I usually reuse my ice cream containers so that helps out the environment too... but I cannot reuse this container!
- 1L - not enough! They should make it at least 2L!!

Made by: Nestle Peters Ice Cream

PRICE
2/5
- about AU$9.00
- not too expensive but more expensive than other icecreams...

TASTE

5/5

I purchased this ice cream yesterday and I am already half way through the container! It melts too quickly though... but that's alright because it would be eaten up quickly anyways! As I am blogging I am having another serve! It is soooo good!

Have you tried this ice cream before? Did you like it?

Are there any other ice creams (that I can purchase in Australia!)that you recommend?

I have my eye on the 'Cookies & Cream' one from this line... Has any one tried that?

REVIEW: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector

PACKAGING
3/5
- 2.7mL of concealer
- 2.7mL of highlighter
- Convenient packaging - both concealer and highlighter in the one product, however, after a while it gets a bit messy
- I would prefer if the packaging was see-through so that I could see how much I have left
- The words have smudged off on mine, as you can see, but that's just due to lots of usage!

SHADE
5/5
- I got light, but I also have light/medium, and I can honestly say I can't notice the different between the two shades, however, both shades match me so 5/5!

The concealer end - doe tipped applicator.

The highlighter end - brush like applicator.

Top - concealer

Bottom - lighlighter

PERFORMANCE

3/5

The concealer end isn't as good as Maybelline's Mineral Power concealer, which I will do a review on soon, not as opaque, however, it is very similar in consistency. I prefer the Mineral Power concealer of this concealer. This concealer is good to layer, but is not the best concealer I've tried.

The highlighter end I love! I wish Maybelline made a product with only this end! I would totally buy it! Love love. I use this under my eyebrows to brighten up the area and I believe it makes me look more awake! But I believe, a lighter-than-your-skin-colour coloured foundation would work as a highlighter as well.

PRICE

4/5

- Under AU$20.00 for a total of 5.4ml

- Like all other Maybelline products this is affordable and pretty much everyone has access to it.

- Not discontinued.

REVIEW: Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Pretty Pink

PACKAGING
2/5
- Easily scratched, I purchased today from instore at Priceline and there are visable marks all over it already! *sobs*
- The packaging looks a bit cheap to me... the pink is see-through cap is alright, but I wish they made it more scratch-resistant!
- no wow factor about the packaging
- 0.15 OZ, 4.2g

PRODUCT
4/5
- Although I am very fond of this shade, I would love it if it was a bit lighter
- Matte without shimmer - which is great because you can always add shimmer with lipgloss over the top if you want :)
-Creamy texture - applies easity, no tugging
- Pigmented
- Doesn't last too long on the lips
- No heavy scent - a plus!

PRICE
4/5

AU$16.95
(at the moment instore at Priceline there is a '3 for 2' offer - check it out while it lasts!)
- Affordable, reasonable... not costing an arm and a leg,
and there are offers and sales in most stores including supermarkets from time to time! :)

Made in USA

I am sure I will be giving this lipstick a lot of love!

Have you tried this lipstick yet? What other shades would you recommend for me to try from Maybelline's new Color Sensational Lipstick line?

Hi Everyone!

Like most girls I love buying and trying all things beauty related...

I love reading other people's blogs, and thought I'd share as well. :)

I am in no way an expert on anything, and all of the items I have purchased with my own money, unless otherwise stated. These are my own opinions and please keep in mind that we all have different preferences and different skin types and skin tones.
